I decide to collect links to "frozen" dA accounts of amazing dA photographers. Over a year they had no new images in their dA galleries, but many of them have active accounts on 500px, Facebook, and etc.. Hmm... difficult to gather - easy to lose...
For ex.,
Marc Adamus 500px account - 500px.com/maphoto
Ian Plant 500px account - 500px.com/ianplant ...
UPD 11/03/2018 >>160

Why....? Please see the journals of Nate - nate-zeman.deviantart.com/jour… , John - kkart.deviantart.com/journal/W… , Malcolm - fireflyphotosaust.deviantart.c… , and etc...
Please, help me to find such accounts and extend this dA list....

Wow, it's a shame those people are not active on DA anymore
None the less, life goes on and you make some choices. I'm sure they haven't given up on photography.
I heard of some people that they experience that photography has lost is touch on DA, people just throw selfies and such things on DA like it's Facebook or something like that.
DeviantArt is slowly losing it's validity to use the Art term in their name .
I also experience that, but you will always get such things when a site gets bigger and bigger. I think that they need to think that through if that is the way that they want to go or if they are going to do something about that fact. Of course art is subjective, so that will always be a difficult fact that you need to think about too. However, I think everyone here thinks that there is too much spamming on DA nowadays. People that are ‘’cosplaying’’ and just snap a slappy phone pic and dump it on DA or just snap a shot of there pets and throw in on DA…..
In my opinion they need to divide DA a little more. Really clear sections like photography, literature and different kind of arts etc. They already have that in someway.
You will have a clear photography section, with different kind of levels of photographers or something like that. (How you want to do that, I don't know yet.) Than they can create collaborations with those different kind of levels to learn from each other to get better. Create a better and more active community.
They also need to give you an option to choose what you want to see when you just use the ‘’browse’’ section in a way of which kind of pictures you want to see and which photography ‘’level’’ they got. I like to see something from everything, doesn’t matter if it’s from a beginning photographer or a pro one, but just filter out that spam….
And than you need to filter those people out who just throw a picture about everything on their DA profile. What are you going to do with that group? I don’t know, maybe refer them back to MySpace….
I forgot to mention the ''just sub and comment/favourite and get points'' pages....
You also have a lot of those groups that are dying out one after another. That’s also a sad thing to see and something need to happen about that too. That does not contribute to a better sense of community on DA.
Last but not least, don’t be angry or sad and just snap away and keep those nice pictures coming .
If DA turns into a shithole we have plenty of sites to choose from or we can just create our own.
Btw, I still prefer over bigtime.
